02 - Challenge & Approach

Grand in style, right for the hills.

The Challenge

The key challenge was to create a grand resort façade while responding to Narkanda's hilly terrain and cold climate. The design balances local materials, large openings, comfortable balconies, parking, and efficient vertical planning.

Our Approach

We designed the façade, the site and the vertical layout together so that each supports the others.

  • Local materials and natural stone finishes
  • Large openings and balconies set against a cold climate
  • Parking and vertical planning worked out on the slope
